If you watch the advertisement of medicine for diabetics, stroke, and nebulizer or name any disease, you will be scared to death hearing the side effects. Some ads even say continuous bleeding and death can occurs. I asked hubby if we know that after eating this drug we can die then why are we even taking it. My poor hubby had to take some Aleve for his foot pain Plantar Fasciitis, and end up getting severe stomach upset and bloating for more than a week. Once he stopped taking aleve he got better. I am also tired of seeing the advertisements of hospitals and always feel that if you are sick, you will automatically find a hospital for treatment. There is no need of these advertisements. They can utilize that money to help patients by reducing the fees. When I was in hospital for the birth of my princess they gave me Tylenol and charged me 9 dollars for single dose medicine. If I have prescription I can go out and buy them at $4 dollars in a Wal-Mart for 30 day supply.
At this time I feel the importance of Ayurveda, yes it is natural medicine and a very ancient form of Indian medicine. The good thing is that you are not going to get any side effects, even though It may take some time to cure. I am ayurvedic medicine enthusiast, so I try to make home remedies like Bale fruit tea, shatavari milk and Neem water.I was born and brought in place where Ayurveda is still practiced to date. If you have chronic pain, it is good to try to Ayurvedic medicines. These medicines are made with natural elements, leaves, roots, barks of trees, juice of fruits etc.
My son was born with severe eczema, poor guy never slept a day without scratching all over, he doesn’t like any prescription medication, may be it giving him a burning sensation. If I try to apply the creams, he starts crying at his highest volume and says ‘NO Mama, NO Mama’. Even he doesn’t like over the counter medication. While talking to my dad, he told me if you can get neem try to giving him a bath with water boiled with neem leaves. He told me neem leaves have medicinal properties; it is used as bed for people suffer from chicken pox.
It is believed Goddess of the chickenpox, Sithala lives in the Neem tree. Its flowers are used to cure intestinal problems. Neem bark acts as an analgesic and can cure high fever from malaria. It is believed that the Neem leaves can even cure  certain diseases. In India the small pieces of the branches is also used to brush the teeth.

For the last 10 days I have been giving my son a bath with water boiled with Neem leaves, before going to bed every day.  And the neem water bath is giving my son some comfort along with the application of almond oil. The last one week he has been able to sleep through the night.

I make neem water  by boiling 5 quarts ( about 4.7 Liters) of water, then add 1 teaspoon of dried neem leaves powder. Let it boil for another 5 minutes by that time water turns into brown color.  Then this boiled water is diluted with cold water to get to a comfortable temperature for my son to take body bath.  I made dried neem leaves powder by grinding dried  neem leaves in coffee grinder. Make sure to wash your coffee grinder thoroughly,  otherwise your morning coffee going  to be extra bitter.

To be able to get leaves all season, I bought a small neem plant from nursery, first year it needs to be in the pot due to harsh winter. Next year onwards I can put it in soil, where I hope that it will grow  to a big tree.

For Eczema, there are not many  medicines available  other  than steroid cream containing 1% hydrocortizone.  I am happy that  this  neem water is natural it doesn’t have any harmful side effects. If it can help why can’t we use it.

If you are looking for dried neem leaves you can buy from  Vitacost. com
