What you need

Red Onion : 1
Ginger : 2 inch piece
Pepper : 1tablespoon (reduce if you need less spicy)
Olive oil : 1 tablespoon
Butter : 1 tablespoon
Salt : 1 teaspoon or to taste
Water/ Vegetable stock: 4 cup
1% Milk/Cream : ½ cup
Yogurt : 2 tablespoon
Italian seasoning : 1 tablespoon (optional)

I don't like celery either! It's taste just messes with everything...it is so strong.
