What you need
Kadachakka/Seemachakka/ Bread fruit: 1 ½ cup
Pearl onions: 19 nos
Toordal: ½ tablespoon
Coconut: ½ cup
Chili powder: ¼ teaspoon
Coriander powder: ½ teaspoon
Oil: 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon ( For authentic taste use coconut oil)
Salt: ½ teaspoon or to taste
Tamarind: small lemon size
Water: 2 cup
Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
Red chili: 2 no ( halved into pieces)
Curry leaves: 2 sprig

I actually love breadfruit and in the Caribbean we eat it a lot and make something kind of similar to this, where we simmer the breadfruit in coconut milk with hot pepper and spices. I'm lucky - Where I live, there is a large Caribbean neighborhood so since it is always in demand, the prices are not expensive for it here.

Delicious bread fruit curry!!!My mum used to make this for me when I was in Sri Lanka :). This is one of those dishes that taste great after 1 day once all flavors from coconut and spices are absorbed. I am drooling over your pics:)
