What you need
For rasam:
Tomato: 4 no
Garlic: 2 clove
Rasam powder: 1 tablespoon (I used store bought one)
Tamarind: a golf size ball ( soaked in ½ cup of water)
Asafetodia: ⅛ teaspoon
Mustard seeds: ¼ teaspoon
Cumin seeds:¼ teaspoon
Olive Oil: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon or to taste
Water: 2 cup + 1 cup
Coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon Chopped for garnish
For Eggplant stir fry
Eggplant: 1 no
Onion: ½ chopped
Olive oil: 2 tablespoon
Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
Urad dal: 1 tablespoon
Red chili: 2 no halved
Salt: ¾ teaspoon or to taste
Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
Cumin seed powder: ½ teaspoon
Red chili powder: ¼ teaspoon (increase or decrease depending upon your spiciness)

two delicious dishes in 30 minutes, this is what I'm searching for!!! love both of them;
I've always wondered how these ammas (back in india) managed to prepare everything for lunch in the morning so quickly and tasty... they are comparable to super women :):)
I also do the same with brinjals and instead of cumin/chilly at last, I add a bit of sambhar powder 🙂 thank you for reminding this combination!!!
