Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces fresh watermelon juice
  • 2 ounces tequila preferably 100% agave tequila
  • 0.5 ounce lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce jalapeno infused simple syrup *
  • Tajin for rim
  • Watermelon wedges
  • Jalapenos slices

Instructions

  • In a blender make watermelon juice using cubed fresh watermelon. strain and set aside.
  • Rub the rim of a chilled margarita glass with the lime wedge. Dip the rim of the glass in the tajin to coat it.
  • Pour the watermelon puree, lime juice, tequila, and jalapeno infused simple syrup mix into a shaker filled with ice cubes and shake 5 to 7 times.
  • Pour the margarita into the glass with ice and garnish with watermelon wedge and jalapeno slices

Notes

*for jalapenos infused simple syrup make simple syrup (equal quantity of sugar and water) with few jalapenos’ slices. You can adjust the heat depending upon amount jalapenos slices you are adding it to the simple syrup.
