Yes! I want a bite. We use the guava paste for filling pastries or bread but also eat it as a dessert. Usually the same way people from Spain do. Serve en small slices paired with cheese and serve after a meal. You eat it together the cheese and the paste. Yum!

Swathi, I tried to copy the Hearth and Soul badge, but it will not let me...giving me the msg. "function disabled"...don't exactly know what that means, maybe you could check it out on your side.
Thanks!

Thank you for inviting me to your Hearth and Soul group, and I did post my carrot, pineapple cake. Love all the other contributions, and will grab the badge to post it on my blog!

Wow. Love the coffeecake. Have never tried the cheese guava combo. It is surely romeo and juliet in Brazilian cuisine - and I suppose Cuban also uses guava paste for pastries- but never tried it. GREAT Swathi. I agree with Sarah ur the BAKING QUEEN. KEEP IT UP. I wish I could find a eggless equivalent for meringue (sigh)
