Apple comte cheese walnut Panini

Delicious  breakfast panini with apple, cinnamon, walnut and comte cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 multigrain bread
  • 1 green apple sliced thinly ( I used granny smith)
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (extra for sprinkling)
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar (you can increase the amount if you want)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • ½ cup Comte cheese grated (increase amount if you want more cheese)
  • 10 walnuts

Instructions

  • Pre heat your Panini press according to manufacturer’s instruction.
  • In a skillet add butter and thinly sliced green apple, cinnamon, brown sugar and cook for about 5 minutes or until both sides get slightly caramelized.
  • Place two slice of bread in Panini press then place the cooked apple make sure to divide into two bread slices. You can sprinkle little more cinnamon if you want.
  • Then add 5 walnuts into each bread slice.
  • Top with ¼ cup cheese on each slice.
  • Then cover with another bread and close the Panini press and grill them until the desired crispiness acquired.
  • Enjoy warm.

Notes

In a skillet add butter
To this add apple, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Cook for 5 minutes until the apple is slightly caramelized.
Heat your panini press .
Place bread
Place the apple and walnut on the top of each bread.
you can sprinkle extra cinnamon if you want at this stage.
Then top with comte cheese.
close it with another bread slice and grill the bread.
Enjoy Warm.
