Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • ½ oz beet juice
  • 3 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ to ½ oz rosemary simple syrup

Instructions

  • First make Rosemary simple syrup
  • In a pan add equal amount of sugar and water and bring to boil and then add rosemary sprig and let be infused for about 30 minutes. Then remove the rosemary sprig and use the rosemary infused simple syrup.
  • Spread yellow sugar and salt on a plate. Rub the rim of a chilled highball glass with the lime wedge. Dip the rim of the glass in the yellow sugar-salt mixture to coat it.
  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice combine all the ingredients except beet juice and shake vigorously.
  • Strain into a glass over ice.
  • Then slowly float the beet juice over the ice, allowing the beet juice to make its way down the glass and appear as if blood is dripping through the drink.
  • Garnish with an orange slice.
