Krishna jayanthi or Krishna Janmashtami is tomorrow this year, August 17th. It is celebrated as birth of Lord Krishna; and we make lots of recipes for Krishna jayanthi. When my daughter asked while taking a picture of Lord Krishna, why mama are you taking picture I told her tomorrow is Lord’s Krishna’s birthday. She asked whether there is any cake cutting. I told her no, but we make lot of other recipes for Krishna jayanthi.
Amma makes everything from the morning and then goes to temple and she does the puja at home around 12.00.A.M. According to myth, Lord Krishna was born at that time; I can’t wait that long so I will do the offering late in evening.
These are the Krishna jayanthi/Krishna janmashtami recipes also some butter.
