Delicious Tailgate Sipper/A pineapple bourbon Cocktail drink full flavor of bourbon and fresh pineapple juice.
Friday means we can have some drinks. I am used to making some drinks at home as going out is not an option. I am fan of fruity boozy drinks. I don’t like to drink hard liquor but love them when it is mixed with fruit juice. This tailgate sipper is basically bourbon mixed with pineapple juice. This is really tasty as you know bourbon makes everything delicious.
I fell in love with and lately started using bourbon in cocktails. Earlier only dealt with Tequila and Triple sec as I have weakness of margarita, even yesterday I thought of making watermelon margarita. But my daughter want watermelon popsicles and I had bought only a small watermelon so decided to make the popsicle for her. I will make watermelon margarita some time later.
Right now, cherries are readily available and I may come up with cherry cocktails? You see my mind plays with all the fruits and cocktails. Coming back to recipe you can use your favorite Bourbon for this. I used JIM BEAM 80 proof. Made with fresh pineapple juice and lemon juice with touch of vanilla extract, you can play with processed juice too. I think fresh juice always gives wonderful taste. If you look for convenience, then go with bottled juice.
This recipe is adapted from “Southern Living Bourbon & Bacon: The Ultimate Guide to the South's Favorite Foods” book which has great recipes and would love to make more drinks from it. Even though it is named as Tailgate sipper/ A pineapple bourbon Cocktail I think you can have this drink any day don’t need to wait for a game to start. Make sure to invite some friends so they too can enjoy this drink.
