Delicious and Healthy treats Banana Ghosts and Apple Ghosts for Halloween. This weekend as well as the week started really badly for us, all of us were grounded by stomach flu. First it started with my little man on Friday night; he started throwing up in night. Then he handed the baton to his dad, and to his sister. Finally on Monday night, mom got sick. Now we all feeling better, still have the after bitter taste even while drinking tea and coffee. We are eating bland food now. As Halloween is almost 3 days away, I want to make some spooky treats for my kids. I tried Banana ghost and apple ghosts few days ago. If I did a test run, and got success, then I can make it during Halloween night.
I usually make healthy Halloween treats for kids at home as they get to eat lot of candy. I have found that you can make delicious treats without loads of sugar in it. It is also Kid-friendly and at the same time spooky and tasty. I have been making these treats for couple of years as my daughter started to ask for candy. She gets the candy, but still I enjoy make Edible spider sandwich, Witch fingers using shortbread cookies, Owl cookies, herbed bread sticks bones and Halloween sprinkle cookies.
Earlier for Halloween I used to dress them up whatever I wanted them to be; now they have their own choice. She wants to princess. While my son is still in double mind, he wants to pumpkin some time, next time Hulk, he pulls his pants and comes and tell me that he is hulk. I don’t know if I get time to get costume for hulk he may finalize on that.
Now my kids know about ghosts, witch from the nursery rhyme in YouTube, son used say witches comes with broom. Ghosts make noise etc. So this time I made this Banana ghost. It is really easy recipe you need few bananas, apple juice and desiccated coconut. I used chocolate chips for their eyes and mouth you can use raisins if you want. Make when you are ready for the party.
I found the recipe of Apple ghost from a magazine while standing in line in Wal-Mart. It is also an easy recipe you need candy melts and apple and chocolate. Since this is first time I am playing with candy melts, it has not turned out to be perfect. May be next time I can perfect it.
Here is an easy and delicious healthy treats for kids.
