If you are planning to enjoy the Halloween night with some spooky movies, then take a sip of this Creepy crawler Margarita made with fresh blueberry puree, tequila, Triple sec, and gummy worms. It is a simple blueberry margarita with attack of gummy worms.
How to make Creepy Crawler Margarita?
Ingredients
Blueberries: you can use both fresh and frozen blueberries. After processing the blueberries, you need make sure to strain twice before adding to the drink.
Tequila: Use your favorite tequila but 100% agave should be must.
Triple sec or Cointreau: I used Triple sec you can use Cointreau if you want
Lemon juice: Use freshly squeezed lemon juice rather than bottled version.
Gummy worms: I used normal sweet gummy worms if you want you can use sour gummy worms.
Blueberry ice cubes: These are just ice cubes frozen with blueberries just to give spooky effect if you do not want you skip that
Sugar-salt rim: I used purple sanding sugar and salt rim, if you have coarse salt in hand use that. Also try to change the color of black or orange sanding sugar.
Variations
If you have fresh mint in hand, just muddle both blueberries and mint and make puree or even process blueberry mint in highspeed blender. I did not have mint in hand so skipped that.
There is no simple syrup that is added to this creepy crawler margarita. If you want, you can make blueberry simple syrup. To make it equal amount of sugar, blueberry and water is boiled until blueberries burst open, then strain and use.
If you want you can make instead of purple sugar-salt rim, tajin rim or black sanding sugar and salt rim.
If you are planning to make a bulk drink, blend everything in the blender and use it, just increase the amount of ingredients.
Basically, this is a skinny margarita but can change depending upon how much gummy worms you are adding the amount of calorie will increase. Otherwise there is just natural sweetness from the blueberries and sweetness in the sugar from the rim of glass.
If you want you can substitute blueberries with blackberries, the taste will be similar, rest of the berries taste will different.
