How to make this Romeo Juliet cocktail?
You need following ingredients to make this.
Gin: I used Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin you can use your favorite London dry gin.
Fresh cucumber : I used regular cucumber with seeds, you can use seedless cucumber too.
Fresh lime juice
Simple syrup ( 2: 1 ratio) : if you want more sweetness add 1: 1 ratio of sugar : water.
Rose water
Angostura bitters
Dash of salt
Mint Sprig

How to make this Romeo Juliet Cocktail?
It is easy to make. You need to first muddle cucumber and sprig of mint with little salt and once it is done add simple syrup, gin, rose water and lime juice and mix well then strain into a coupe glass and enjoy.
London gin is the one infused with botanical flavor through re-distillation. It has no artificial ingredients, and no color or flavor is added after distillation. The predominant flavor must come from juniper. And despite the name, it does not have to be made in London.

Muddle the cucumber mint and salt, then add gin, simple syup and lime juice along with rose water.
Variations to Romeo Juliet cocktail ?
Instead of rose water you can try orange blossom water, or lavender extract. When you are adding lavender extract use it cautiously as little more can change the taste.
Any cucumber will work for this recipe.
If you want mint flavor more then add whole sprig if not add few leaves. Fresh lemon juice is best to go with cucumber you can try with lemon juice too

Tips to make this delicious Romeo Juliet cocktail.
You need to use chilled coupe glass as we are not adding any ice to this recipe.
Adding salt to cucumber brings out flavor, however, make sure to add a pinch not more than that as it can make it salty.
Using 2:1 simple syrup makes less sweet cocktail. If you want, you can increase the amount of sweetness by changing to 1: 1 simple syrup.
Angostura aromatic bitters adds extra layer of complexity, intensifies the flavor of other ingredients, counteracts the harshness of acidic contents, and decreases the harshness of alcohol. So don’t skip this step.
Any good London Gin will work in this recipe.
This is a simple cocktail drink with freshness of cucumber and mint along with aromatic rosewater and angostura bitters with gin. Great aromatic drink you can double or triple according to requirements. You can make ahead when you are ready to serve just add extra rosewater and bitters.

- 2 oz. London Dry Gin
- ¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ oz. simple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon Rose water 4 drops
- ⅛ teaspoon Angostura bitters 3 drops
- 3 slices cucumber
- 1 Mint Sprig +1 mint leaf
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- n a cocktail shaker muddle the cucumber, mint, and pinch of salt.
- Then add the lime juice, simple syrup, and 3 drops of rose water. Shake vigorously.
- Double strain into a chilled coupe, then garnish with a mint leaf. P
- Put 1 more drop of rose water on the mint leaf and place 3 drops of Angostura bitters around the leaf.
