This Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie bowl is the most decadent, rich and creamy smoothie which is filling breakfast too.
Today is National Cheesecake Day. In order to celebrate I decided to give a healthy touch to cheesecake day. Yes, I made this Cherry cheesecake Smoothie bowl. It is easy delicious and filling breakfast; great to start your day with it. Best part is that Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie bowl is protein packed as well as has sweetness from the fresh sweet cherries.
Why Cheesecake Smoothie?
This smoothie has it all – sweet cherries, a hint of vanilla, lemon zest, protein and the perfect amount of tang just like a good cheesecake. Classic cheesecake always has cheery filling. Instead of whole slice of cheesecake you can enjoy the taste in a bowl whether it is breakfast or dessert or as afternoon snack. Still nothing can take the place of real cheesecake. This is the cheesecake you can make it in blender with a hint of citrus which is key in making it taste like cheesecake.
How to make cheesecake smoothie?
You need cream cheese, or cottage cheese along with heavy cream, berries or cherries. I used fresh sweet cherries; you can also use frozen one. I have added a ½ avocado and cashew nuts to give extra creaminess. Also used monk fruit sweetener. If you want, be free to use any favorite sweetener. You can make it keto cherry cheesecake smoothie bowl by swapping cashews with almonds. As cashews are considered high carbs. Still you can use it with others in combo. And use soaked raw ones just like I did, nuts that have been soaked or sprouted instead of those that are raw. Soaking or sprouting nuts helps break down the phytic acid in the nuts and makes them more digestible
You can make cheesecake smoothie with berries too. Here is my strawberry cheesecake ice cream and strawberry cheesecake chimichangas and Strawberry Cereal cheesecake bars recipe. Since cherries are very sweet and available in the market, I used that to make cheery cheesecake smoothie.
What for toppings?
When it comes to smoothie bowl you can go wild with toppings, that part I like it more. Here I used cherries, coconut, dragon fruit, strawberries, almonds and lemon zest. You can feel free to play with your favorite toppings.
